Be Willing to Help Others

October 15, 2009

Learn to commit yourself to help others. You can give what you currently have, share your time, knowledge and connection. Sharing is one of the most important virtue in small business. If you are helping others, you can easily turn to them at times when you need their help.

What is good with helping each other is that you can always find needed resources without the need of shelling out your financial resources. Give your business away to others for this will help them refine their approach and eventually become successful with their businesses. This kind of relationship will mold good relationship and build up loyalty amongst entrepreneurs.

Take Action

October 12, 2009

After you have established a clear vision about your goals and targets, you can now take action on it. You cannot get to your business goals unless you have exerted a corresponding goal to compensate its success. Configure the things you need to do, although some of your vision may somehow vague; drive action on whatever is clear yet. You will get to know the remaining direction if you are already on hand with your target market and operation.

The simplest way so that you can take action on your plan is to figure out and list everything that needs to be done.  You might need to go over some details again such as reprinting of business cards if there are new information, rebranding or reevaluating your business.

Action should be continuous. Do not tolerate delay because this will cost you a lot, expensive in that sense. Start from simple tasks to complicated tasks, this may take time and money but if it is always supported by effort, you will surely find the right path.

Create A Flexible Vision

October 9, 2009

It is always important that you know where you are heading to. Ensure that it is clear and you know what you are pursuing to and that you can articulate this with others. One of the biggest challenge and the lesson that must be learned by entrepreneurs especially those who are just starting a business is the knowledge that upon the promotion of business in the market, this may reroute you in different directions. As a response to this challenge, you must create a flexible vision. Having a variation of dream may be a beneficial option.

To create a clear and flexible vision, you must determine and provide necessary market needs. Implement complementary avenues to build up variations on your concept. Plan, anticipate and map out everything. You cannot control everything. At one point of your business venture, you might be forced to go on a different route. Sometimes it comes in an unexpected way. For as long as you established flexibility to your business, you will still stand even with the sudden change of direction.

The Key to Excellent Customer Service

October 7, 2009

As small business caters to meet the demand of the customers, it is very essential that an entrepreneur must know and learn how to please the customer. I am sure you won’t disagree with me if I’m going to say that a business should serve the customers well. It is not putting your business under the feet of your customers, but it is just showing your sincerity to serve your customers in the best possible way.

However, there are some instances that we know we cannot respond to the customer’s demand. In this case, you just have to be honest, open and conduct direct communication. That is the key to excellent customer service. It is better to tell your customers something they don’t want to hear rather than trying to save your sales only to give them total disappointment. When a customer felt that you mislead them or you are just wasting their time, they will become irate and may react violently. It is not wrong to tell your customers that you can’t service their needs and advise to go elsewhere. You may not get your sales, but you just have gained respect and credibility due to being honest, and that is indeed the real essence of customer service.

Business-Changing Lesson Number 7: Focus and Flow

October 6, 2009

Another lesson that most entrepreneur must take note is that there must be a good balance between focus and flow. Everything will just come easy if there is a good balance. There is always a place called persistence, focus and discipline.

It is essential that an entrepreneur must have something to which they are going to dedicate their focus. Look for one client, one marketing strategy and put your whole focus on it. It is always good that you are holding on something strong and make it really successful. With your focus, there is a flow that will lead to more success.

Evaluate your financial, marketing and business status. Take time to view your business on the top perspective and observe the flow. Check if everything is flowing in the same direction and is properly aligned. In everything you do, you just need to give your focus, focus and focus and the flow will simply follow towards successful business venture.

Business-Changing Lesson Number 6: Work with your Inner Self

October 5, 2009

It is true that the success of the business relies on the hand of the workers. Whatever is the outcome of the business, the workers are accountable with it. An entrepreneur should be aware that there is what we called “inner-self”, this is something more important than the physical workers. In handling a business, you should always dare connecting to your inner self. Everyone has a place inside of them that absolutely knows your purpose why you are here on earth. That place knows when you are doing the right thing, when you are in the right place and if you are going in the right direction. We all know that it is essential to know if you are heading the right way so that you can change plan and route at an early possible stage. You should always consult the “knowing place” inside of you, dare to stand up and claim that you know what you are doing and that you deserve something better, you deserve a successful business venture.

Listen to your body, that’s the key element. Your body is always talking; it is just that you sometimes tend to neglect it because you have been overwhelmed by your daily task and activities. Your business demand the opinion of your body, that voice inside of you has the keyword and the right formula to make a successful business. Do not be consumed by always being busy, stop at least a minute in a day and listen to your body talking. Whatever you can get out of it, whether vague or clear, dare to go out into the world and bring your brilliance. Do this by serving your clients well, and success will just follow.

Business-Changing Lesson Number 5: Acknowledge the Abundance

October 2, 2009

Thinking of abundance attracts abundance. Do not entertain scarcity, for the more you will think that there is something lacking this will indirectly radiate to your business. You must have the attitude of gratitude for you will only feel blessed if you are thankful of everything. The abundance of the business is just a mere reflection of your internal energy. If you keep on thinking and worrying about economic downturn and debts, your business will always attract the energy of scarcity. Build up an attitude to shift your attention to prosperity instead of scarcity. Always believe that your business will prosper and there’s abundance needs to be tap somewhere else. List all the signs of abundance and prosperity and be grateful with it. This practice will create positive radiation towards your business.

Join a group wherein you can mirror the abundance that you are looking for. They might be a group of people who believes on thinking abundance and prosperity and the positive energy. You can look up to those who are successful with their business and make them a role model to build up an attitude of gratitude. This is essential for your business success. It is not always the money and the way you manage your business that counts but on your attitude towards the abundance and prosperity. The most important thing there is that you acknowledge that there is something that you should be thankful of.

Business-Changing Lesson Number 4: Aspire to Expand Naturally

October 1, 2009

You should treat you business as something part of nature. It should be as natural as it is. You should take it as part of your life. The business should also expand just as nature; it is always changing and evolving as the seasons pass. Preview your business as something a human body, it should always start from small and as time goes by the cells replenish and grow taller and bigger. You should have the vision of expanding your business; it should not always stay on the level of beginning phase. Just as the nature is changing, so it goes with your business.

The biggest challenge in aspiring for expansion is the abrupt changes in the trends. You should prepare your business in this aspect. Every now and then, a new technology sprouts somewhere else, a new genre exists, and a new generation evolves. How should you deal with these changes? You simply should not remain passive with the changes in nature, there’s a need to expand and grow your business.

There are three areas that you need to consider for the natural expansion of your business. These three key areas are money, marketing and spirituality. Monitor the financial status of your business. This is the first thing you should check if you feel there’s something wrong. Business expansion will never be possible if you failed to manage your finances properly. You should also check the marketing. Is it effective? Are you attracting customers with it? Marketing is essential for expansion. If your business only exists to few people, there’s no reason for you to expand. The spirituality must follow. You should always create a positive energy for your business. If you are thinking that it is impossible for your business to expand, you will never see your business growing. On the other hand, if you are positive that your business will expand, it will surely expand. Identify and aspire for business expansion, and your business will simply respond to that.
